Baby Supply Kit

Item: Baby Supply Kit
Why I wanted to make this: A close friend on mine is expecting a baby and I wanted to give her something that I knew would come in handy.  I knew that she would be getting plenty of clothes and cute baby items so I decided to put together a basket of “must haves” that she would once her bundle of joy arrived!
How to do it: Head to the store and grab your must have items… here’s mine!
Lanolin and a Nipple Shield– These may be “awkward” to give to someone but they will come in handy!  Breastfeeding sucks (no pun intended) at first and these will definitely help to ease the pain.  Breastfeeding should be a great bonding experience and it is hard to do that when you’re in pain!
Gas Drops– Poor Mr. Everett has encountered many problems with gas and these have been a lifesaver.  He actually likes how they taste so it’s not a hard task to get him to take it!
Baby Q Tips– Pretty self explanatory.  The baby ones are a must because they prevent you from accidentally sticking it too far into their ears.
Vaseline– My friend is expecting a little boy and vaseline is needed to help the circumcision heal.  (Ouch!)
Baby Saline Spray– Everett had some congestion and the pediatrician instructed me to use saline spray.  It helps to break up the mucous and lets him breathe much easier.
A&D Ointment– I love this stuff! It is really easy to apply so slather it on and prevent those diaper rashes!  It’s also great for dry skin and for tattoos! 🙂
Diaper Bag Dispenser– These are very nice to have when you are on the run, you can throw the dirty diaper in one and chuck it with out leaving an odor behind!
Cuticle Scissors–  Those baby nail clippers may be cute as can be but they do not work on the thin baby fingernails.  I picked up a pair of these cuticle scissors on a whim after Everett was born and haven’t looked back yet.

Get creative!
